Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Craftsman Waco Concrete and Masonry website and any estimate, scheduling or work you arrange with us. If you use the site, ask for an estimate or hire our crew, you're agreeing to them.
A signed contract or written proposal for your job takes priority over these general terms. Where the two disagree, the written agreement for your job controls.
What we do
We're a masonry contractor in Waco, TX, and we do concrete and masonry work for homes in Waco and the cities around it. That includes foundation repair, brick and chimney repair, tuckpointing, retaining walls, pavers, walkways, stone veneer, fireplaces and outdoor kitchens. You can read more about each service from our home page.
The service descriptions on this site are general. The exact scope for your house is what's written in your estimate or contract, because no two jobs turn out quite the same once we've looked at them in person.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free, given at your property, and carry no obligation to hire us. An estimate is our best price for the work we can see and is good for the period written on it.
Masonry often hides problems until it's opened up, such as crumbling mortar behind sound brick, a failed footing or soft soil under a slab. If we find a condition like that, we'll stop, show you, and give you a written change in price and scope before we do the added work.
Prices on any page of this site, if shown, are general information and not an offer. Only a written estimate from us sets a price for your job.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We'll give you a start date when you accept your estimate, and we'll tell you as soon as we know if it has to move. Rain, freezing temperatures and extreme heat can push back mortar and concrete work, because pouring or laying in the wrong conditions weakens the finished job.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, call us at (254) 327-1950 as early as you can. Material we've already ordered or custom-cut for your job, and work already done, may be billed as set out in your written agreement.
Payment
Deposit, progress payments and the final balance are due as written in your estimate or contract. We'll walk through the work with you before asking for final payment so you can point out anything that needs attention.
Late payments may carry the charges stated in your agreement, as far as Texas law allows. If a payment problem comes up, tell us early and we'll try to work something out.
Warranties and what they don't cover
Any warranty on our workmanship is the one written in your contract, for the length of time it states. Materials such as brick, stone, block, pavers and sealers carry their maker's warranty, and we'll pass along what the maker provides.
Brick, stone and concrete are natural materials, so slight differences in color and texture, hairline shrinkage cracks in concrete and some fading over time are normal and aren't defects. Damage from soil movement, drainage changes, tree roots, vehicles heavier than the work was built for, or someone else's later work isn't covered.
Apart from what's written in your contract, our work and this website are provided without other warranties, to the extent Texas law allows.
Limits on our liability
We're licensed and fully insured, and we're responsible for the work we do. We aren't responsible for conditions that were there before we started and weren't part of our scope, or for buried lines, pipes or sprinkler systems that weren't marked or disclosed to us.
To the extent Texas law allows, our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't liable for indirect losses, such as lost use of your property, unless the law says otherwise.
Using this website
The information on this site is general and meant to help you understand masonry work, not to replace an inspection of your house. Please don't copy our text or photos for commercial use without asking.
Our contact form is run by an outside service, and links to other sites are for your convenience. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content.
Settling a disagreement
If you're unhappy with something, call us first, because most problems get solved faster with a conversation and a look at the work. If we can't sort it out between us, we'll both try mediation before going to court.
Any lawsuit about our work or these terms will be brought in the courts of McLennan County, Texas, unless the law requires a different place.
Texas law applies
These terms and any agreement for work with Craftsman Waco Concrete and Masonry are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the one in effect. Changes won't alter a contract you've already signed with us.
Questions about these terms
